Job Summary

K'beq' Summer Staff present materials highlighting Kenaitze Dena'ina traditions and culture at the K'beq' Interpretive Site in Cooper Landing.

Essential Functions

  • Provides interpretive talks to visitors.
  • Responds to requests for information on Kenaitze Dena'ina culture, history, and traditions.
  • Maintains interpretive sites and gift shop.
  • Presentation of interpretive tours and programs.
  • Maintains gift shop inventory and conducts sales.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Lifting Requirements

Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.  If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.

  • Valid Alaska Driver's license with good driving record (preferred).

  • Knowledge of Kenaitze Dena'ina culture, history, and traditions.
  • Creative, energetic and motivated approach to job performance.
  • Ability to work independently and with youth, Tribal staff and members, and general public.
  • Ability to deliver public presentations.
