Job Summary

The Panel Management Assistant is responsible for assisting the care teams in the data management of the entire population of patients. This position works closely with the care teams giving support such as data entry, scanning documents into databases, arranging and tracking referrals, and coordinating travel. Will arrange travel for patients and process all medication refills. 

Essential Functions

  • Arrange travel for all Medicaid patients and process related forms, working in multiple computer programs.
  • Process medication refill requests as needed. Communicate with providers and Village Pharmacy regarding medications. Work in Cerner and RPMS programs.
  • Assists and coordinates various functionality and utilization of disease/immunization registry database, including data entry, assuring database is kept up to date, identifying patients overdue for visits, labs, immunizations, and preventative health maintenance.
  • Coordinates correspondence with identified patients overdue for visits, labs, immunizations, and preventative health maintenance.
  • Scans travel documentation and other non-health record items into appropriate databases. 
  • Attend staff meetings for information sharing, continuing education activities, and participate in continuous improvement efforts as required.
  • Assists staff members with other administrative duties as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills

 Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR and First Aide certification
  • Knowledge and experience working with Alaska Native/American Indian people
  • Experience with electronic medical records
